check in
Registration is from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in "The Grill" at Southwest Mississippi Community College. If you are viewing the camp map, "Charlie's Grill" is located where it says "Check In." Campers will receive their camp t-shirt at registration.
Orientation for campers is at 4 p.m. in the auditorium with the opening assembly. Parents and campers can use the time from check in until then to unpack and set up rooms.

key deposit
The String Music Basketball Camp requires a $10 key deposit at registration for your son's key. No key cards here, we're still old school with a metal key and everything. The deposit will be returned to him at checkout on Friday -- if he doesn't lose his key. We preach responsibility at camp!
After so many years of doing this, we recommend one of two options to help your son keep track of his key. First, tie it on his shoestring. This is the best option. Secondarily, the school offers lanyards for sale at registration.

Friday Schedule / Check out
Parents may start arriving around 11 a.m. on Friday when the morning session is wrapping up. You may eat lunch with your son, or spend the time packing up.
Following lunch, every camper will play one game (sometime between 12:15-2 p.m.) if you would like to watch him play. Camp wraps up with a closing ceremony at 2 p.m. and check out takes place immediately following in the two dorms (approx. 2:15 p.m.).
Prior to being allowed to check out, coaches will walk through each camper's room to verify it is being left in good condition for the college.
We do not allow early checkouts. Part of the messaging of the camp is teamwork and finishing what you start. We encourage all campers to complete the full week by staying with their fellow campers through the closing ceremony.
